@TheRescorer thanks for writing. i'm sorry. what is JW material ? i hope it's more SUPERMAN DVD projects in the works. ****

@d4seasons i believe the Superman: Blue Box released all JW material

@d4seasons thanks for the update on his kids. Someone losing their parents back to back is too difficult to comprehend.

@msmithstud i feel the same way. just like george reeves from the 1950's. @ first lots of fans thought that reeve's role was hard to fill but c. reeve made the role great. r. donner said that chris was superman. he almost cried when he talked about chris. i wish his kids well too. matthew is a director & producer. alexandra is an attorney, & will is in college. hopefully he'll become an NHL player. enjoy.****

@d4seasons it's impossible for me to see anyone else as Superman w/ out thinking about Chris. He looked more like the comic book Superman than anyone else. May he and Dana rest in peace. The way Dana changed her life to care for Chris shows how committed she was to him. God bless their kids.

@msmithstud thanks for replying. i find it very difficult to watch c. reeve. it's so sad that he had suffered so long & died. also wife dana. i'm glad that i had the chance to have met reeve & gotten his autograph. a true gentlemen. he was very tall & skinny. i'm sure they'll be more releases of those 4 SUPERMAN movies. the third one was just awful & terrible. i hope they'll release j. williams unreleased superman tracks that are still stored in the vaults as i've read. enjoy.****

@d4seasons I knew Brando's scenes were not used in II due to costs. His father sent him to earth, he taught him everything he knew after the construction of the FOS in part 1, so it makes only clear sense that his father would advise him not to forfeit his powers. Quantity over quality always has a price.
not bad, pretty cool idea.

In the new version of this scene, it will be VERY different than this one.

In Lester's version, I agree about the Metropolis return. In Donner, we KNOW what's about to happen, and I wanted there to be a triumphant moment to celebrate it. As I've mentioned before, I enjoy the whole God/Christ parallel that Donner included, and since we just saw the "willing sacrifice of the father", it seemed in keeping with the spirit of the film to show the "resurrection of the son." That's my take, but I understand that it's a personal thing, and may not work for everyone.

Hey thanks, man. When I saw the Donner Cut, I knew I wanted to have a "reveal" moment following the repowering, but I didn't want to take away from his triumphant return to the Daily Planet in the next scene, so this seemed like the right compromise.
