This edited version of the original speech leaves out some of the most essential elements necessary to validate Maj. Gen. Butler's claims. Sadly, this moment of greatness is not taught when we learn about him as we go through recruit training. This is a realization that I stumbled upon almost 13 years after graduating from Paris Island, SC. In a perfect world the truth may set you free, but in our world it makes you a faint misconstrued memory.

Or maybe the blustering Chris Matthews getting all tingly or the other MSNBC "journalists" who condemn the policies of Bush and applaud the same policies that Obama adopts??  There are no real journalists in the mainstream media anymore. Back in the 30's the media was condemning Butler, and they'd condemn him as a nutjob now. Just like Ron Paul is painted as a nut in the media.
