@ut000bs no their problem was their strategy, They lose 2000 men, 2 destroyers, 2 PT boats on the Invasion of Wake Island. they suffer heavy losses at Guadalcanal, because they easily get flinched in case there might be a carrier nearby. Second the IJNAS were renowed to have long range AIRCRAFT,~ an advantage they could have used to patrol their Empire Territory to hunt down US submarines, like the allies did in the Atlantic against the U-boats.

The crew of Yamato deserves the utmost respect. They literally went on A suicide mission just like the Tokkou-Tai. One way fuel...damn it's so badass but also so fucking sad...

@jujitsuman68 Yamato was "tested proper" in the Battle of Samar on 25 October 1944 against totally inferior handful of US NAVY tin cans.

Her battle performance was total disaster.

The Japanese also were at war with the Chinese before that. In fact 10 million Chinese died in the war against Imperial Japan. Half of the Japanese Imperial Army was bogged down in Manchuria (the part of China closest to Japan).

Japan was at war with Great Britain too (Singapore was a importan battle), Australia, the Philippines and pretty much all the countries Japan brutally invaded in the far east.

The Germans mostly fought with the Soviet Union.
