If the GSCLK (greyscale clock) & BLANK (output blank) signals on tlc5940 left floating with some 'antennae' attached, the chip's Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) module glitches out, and you can affect the brightness of the LEDs. This happens because the PWM's clock counter is controlled via these two signals, and if they're left floating, the logic can be controlled by moving your hands around... since they act like a ground plane.

Kinda cool, reminds me of a theremin.

  • @svartahridxhgc it seems to me that the guy is clearly saying this is his LED version of a classic THEREMIN, and if he keeps improving it, that would be gr8.....the Theremin's have made a comeback, tons of experimental musicians have been bringing them back in popularity.

  • boring, you are using your hands to make it work, let the electronic do the work for you.
