Yankee Patrol, played by the Edison Concert band #8971

The Bettini Micro reproducer is constructed with a diaphragm of such size and sensitiveness as to render the fidelity of the most minute sound waves, while at the same time preserving their character or tone. It will also more satisfactorily reproduce a harsh record than any other form of reproducer.
The diaphragm is made from a very thin sheet of aluminium which is stretched by screw tension in about the same manner as a banjo head. The sound waves are distributed over every part of this diaphragm by a series of arms which radiate from a common centre, like the legs of a spider.

  • That is beauty of the Bettini, the sound reproduction is amazing.

  • This is the first time I've ever saw a Bettini attachment working. You are lucky to have it in your collection. The spider on the diaphragm did a amazing job!

    Regards Marcel.

  • its amazing you can get that quality from a cylinder way before 1900, thats better than most if the later phonographs
