good, but lack of color makes it kinda bland.

@ThesimsBGC just give it the proper sizing of correct foods. For a BTS baby that would be small meal worms, slugs, fruit, veggies, small crickets, and much more. The sizing is important as well as variety since they can be picky eaters.

@ThesimsBGC I can't give accurate info for that kind of skink, but as always, a proper heat gradient is essential. Since they are exothermic, they do not need to eat in order to heat their bodies. If they are on the high end of the gradient, it can increase metabolism and they are more likely to eat since they can properly digest. Worst case, you can always blend fruits, veggies, etc and feed it with a dropper, but typically that is only for something that is sickly.

@raredesign woww iknow i should take it to the vet but first i want to know what i could do before spending alot of money... my skink won't eat i beleive it's a female baby what should i do

@ThesimsBGC congrats on the skink. I wouldn't be able to give you much more info on a schneider than what a care sheet will give you. With anything, heat gradients, substrate type, humidity, day/night cycle, and diet are all very important. It is important to know what foods your type of skink can eat, as some are poisonous to them. Eggplant for instance, can kill a BTS. Same thing with knowing about antibiotics. Triple antibiotic is good for cuts on the mout, but the "plus" version can kill it.

@raredesign woah but the look the same but i just got a schneider skink today im pretty knowledgable about it but it never hurts to know more so please help!

@raredesign that would be sweet, put that lizard could put a hurt on u, it would eat alot, but if tamed it would be as good of a pet as a dog

@Jipquel yea, a tegu would be awesome! Some day I hope to have an in-ground pool with a fenced in yard so I can have an Asian Water Monitor or some other huge lizard.

@jipskiez Lighting needs to be configured for the depth of the tank. Based on my tank size, I am using:
Left (cool side): 5.0 UVB (10UVB was far too much and caused snow blindness) This light is intentionally over the water to create a cool side.
Middle (thermometer): Infrared heat lamb (non ceramic)
Right (basking side): 150 watt at this point I think. I used to have a 250 watt, but it was overkill since I always reduced it with my dimmer switch.
It is important to have a gradient of temp.
