  • RIP Sylvia Robinson

  • why did she need to rob all those rappers publishing and jerk them out of money even tho she was a millionare at the time and after ?????

  • @sonnicheeba Yeah,I heard about that. Sugarhill had a powerhouse line up,Grandmaster Flash & Furious 5,Spoonie Gee, Melle Mel,Funky4+1,Sugarhill Gang etc but the business end wasn't right. Even Naughty By Nature signed to Sugar Hill and got jerked and went to Tommy Boy where they finally got on right.

  • Donnie Elbert kicked ass when he was with this record company - Northern Soul rules! DAVEDJ

  • Had not heard that.

  • oh my goodness...Sugar Hill Records burned down?

  • All platinum had some great artists.. "Check It Baby"/cw. "Take My Love" by Willie & The Mighty Magnificents and Lezli Valentine's recordings have been getting lots of spins here in the UK in recent years, and I have a couple of great sides by Prophecy and Susan Phillips.

  • Great Music Branched Out Of All Platinum

  • Why Is That?. I always wondered where the string and flute part came from.
