Steel megacities versus painted skies. STEEL SKIES was inspired by Kubilay Uner's "Steel and Sky" and incorporates over 8500 digital still photos from various cities and landscapes in North America and Asia. The perpetual battle between the natural landscape and the artificial structures that rise, fall, and are rebuilt to even grander scale over time.

Dir: Tony Kern
Music: Kubilay Uner

  • Video is WOW. Great pictures. Maybe last 1-1,5 minutes is to much ewrything but rest is amazing. Who create the music? I must to know plz tell me!!!

  • Thanks for checking it out and commenting. The music is an original composition by KUBILAY UNER.

  • I disliked the music so much I cut out early.

  • Sync the film to THE BEATLES song "DAY IN THE LIFE" instead. Turn off the sound to the video and push play on the Beatles song just after the STEEL SKIES title fades out and the first shot of the earth fades in. You will be pleasantly surprised.

  • absolutely amazing!

  • (blush) thank you! glad you dig it.

  • ...outstanding, bravo!

  • Absolutely amazing! I love seeing that someone put so much work into a project; the results are astounishing. The audio layed over the visuals is not exactly of my preference, since i do not relate to it in any way. But the graphical part makes it worth the while! Good work!

  • this is really good,, what camera did you use?

  • I apologise for posting another comment - I felt I had to, after watching Steel Skies for the 4th time tonight. I gets better each time.

  • This is great. I saw this is one of the Flickr video groups. I have only just uploaded my very first "video" - both on You Tube and Flickr (mine seems to work better in Flickr). I suppose I can aspire to doing something like this someday?! LOL! - Regards (Novus2007 in Flickr)
