San Marcos River Falls

This is where I go to swim and cleanse my soul. The river comes up out of the ground right behind that dam at Aquarena Springs and Spring Lake. It is a constant 72 degrees year round and is the cleanest river I have ever been in.

This runs right through the middle of my town.

@MARTIN3Z91 Yeah I don't know man. People have drowned in Sewell Park. People drown in pools. You don't want to swim there, don't swim there. We love it. :-)

oh yeahh of course dont get near the whirlpool of death lol they drowned because just like you said thought they could out swim the fast current and nope got sucked right under ugh its just a scary thought to swimm there well for me it is..

@MARTIN3Z91 Well I know there have been some people who have drowned here, and it is easy to get turned around in the white water and get stuck if you are not familiar with the currents or are not as strong a swimmer as you think you are. I don't see that as a reason not to swim here. My kids are learning to swim here, and as they get older and want to get closer to the falls, I will teach them where to swim and how to get out if you get stuck.
