A small film about the trip I made from Portugal to the Netherlands to meet Eva Kingma at her workshop in Grolloo (north of Netherland) . Her quarter-tone system for the flute is a brilliant addition to the flute mechanics and opens an entire new world of possibilities!

  • did you buy one? if so, Brannen or Sankyo?

  • @flutejory the flute I'm playing in the video is a brannen-kingma. the sankyo was

also very very good, but with some different solutions in the keys. i preferred the brannen due to my small hands, but the sankyo was also a terrific instrument.

  • is that a conta-alto or a conta-bass at @5:08 ???

    good video, really interesting :)

  • @rachel237linda

  • I love listening to Eva Kingma's voice. It reminds me so much of my recorder and baroque flute teacher from Indiana University, Eva Legene.
