I remember Cool Carla and the Identity Crisis performing @ The Atrium. They're brilliant. Their instruments are state of the art and they played so excellent !!! Missed those days...
All in all, in the classic Jingle Magazine record review format, I'll give IDENTITY CRISIS' REQUIEM RISING 08.08.2011 - an ANGEL rating, that's a CLASSIC for those who were not yet alive when Jingle song hits were still around haha! More to come, please!!!!
The gig itself - a scrumptious edible mix of original compo and classic New Wave ditties to satisfy the nostalgic attendees (although I did see a cornucopia of teens, tweens and even senior citizens amongst the crowd.)
Aside from the band members heavier persona (except Cool Carla which actually was slimmer nowadays), the band was really tight and sounded like they've never left. Mukhang individually, they still do practice and maintained their chops. Good job, guys!
Was at the gig last Friday at NBN Tent and it so awesome! Despite being a rainy night, it didn't stop the chongs plus one out of place mohawk-sporting gay/punk/oi guy from coming and reliving 80s New Wave. Introng-intro pa lang Sulit.com ka na - what with the spectacular light display amidst Identity Crisis' patented goth-intro music. Very cool!

Also worth mentioning the band's tribute to late bassist Bogz while playing their rare gig song Sumigaw, Umawit Ka. Respectfully touching.
