Stand By Me (Sung in the Navajo Language)

This is a short video of me & my cousin brother, Jared Toledo, performing the song "Stand By Me." The lyrics were originally written by Ben E. King, but translated into the Navajo language by my father, Everett Teller, and I.

The inspiration to translate this song came from hearing these words beautifully sung in the Spanish language by Prince Royce.

cool navajo language rendition...maybe too literally translated like when "stand by me" translates to literally stand next to you but I thought the actual translation refers to emotional support.

@sniffinu07 well, yeah, the translation could have been worded to reflect emotional support... but this was the best phrasing we could think of to get the syllable count right for the song.
