Jerry Goldsmith - The Construction, Explorers 1985

Music from the out-of-print soundtrack combined with the corrosponding scene from the movie.

Some of you may notice that the music isn't properly synced with the cuts through most of the vid, but a couple key points (the cut after Wolfgang falls asleep, the nasa shuttle, and the sunrise shot) are properly matched. I found that if I synced the music at the beginning, it wouldn't match up later on. I'm fairly certain that the recording of the music is the same recording used in the official edit of the film, it's strange that I couldn't get it to match. I think that maybe the editors might have made small snips in Goldsmih's score for it to match their cuts.

@mrhiide I believe NASA didn't "give up," they just had their plans squashed by Obama, who canceled the next rocket program, I believe called Orion. Basically, Obama killed the space program, and now we have to rely on the Russians in order to get our own astronauts into space. Just one of the many reasons Obama should not be re-elected.

Honestly, with our current debt, the wars, and Obama starting and sustaining another, it's time to worry about our own affairs before we start worrying about a deader planet than ours.

ESPECIALY now nasa has now given up spending on space exploration which in my opinion is a very unwise decision. It should be one of our main priorities in human life is to explore, other wise we would just stagnate on our own little world which we are crapping up anyway..
