America's military leadership has spoken: Sequestration will cause irreversible damage to our military and in turn our national security. Presidents Roosevelt and Reagan, while of different political parties, understood the federal government's first priority was the security of the nation. Both Presidents sought to honestly assess our capabilities and weaknesses. For us, that assessment comes from our military leaders and all four service chiefs agree that the cuts in sequestration will harm the United States.

  • @Subsunk By real 'facts' you mean the fantasies you brewed up in your Fox News soaked brain? LOL The Dems - as usual offered up way more cuts than the Gop - but of course the sticking point was the Gop will never accept any deal that raises a dime of taxes on the billionaires that they promised Grover Norquist to protect.

  • @TheTruthHurts9999 Why did the Dhimmicrats refuse to negotiate in good faith? What cuts did they offer? None. Tax, tax, tax! If this is NOT such a Doomsday tragedy, then why is the chosen Secretary of Defense, a Bill Clinton Democrat, threatening to resign if these cuts are made. You are pretty ignorant of the real facts, aren't you?

  • And then four years after Reagan left office, we elected William Jefferson Clinton, who then proceeded to gut our military, most notably our Navy, which made him a hero among the left, but earned his family name the eternal enmity of U.S. military servicemembers and veterans. They still haven't forgiven him for that.

  • 4 people would get smacked upside their head by FDR.

  • Wow. A cut of 50 billion a year!? Man, we'd be all the way down to the helpless state we were in in 2007.

  • Oh boo hoo. These cuts to our bloated military are a drop in the bucket of what we spend on defense. And if this is such the doomsday tragedy as being painted here - why did the GOP in the Super Committee just sit on their hands and refuse to negotiate in good faith as usual?
