A 16-year-old who killed his parents and two younger brothers has been sentenced four life terms in prison, but he could become eligible for parole in less than 25 years. (Jan. 23)

@hardman476 That's the problem with idiotic Americans. They lust for weapons, but cannot store them in a safe place....and their kids always kill someone with it. Must have dawned on the dad how stupid it was when he saw his family get killed by his own gun.

He was a minor when he commited the crime which is why he'll have a shot at parole at such a young age. Whether he gets it or not may be something different but in many cases young kids are out at 21 years of age if they are convicted. In this day and age many are getting more harsher sentences no matter their age which if you think about it, it takes a lot of fore thought to commit such a heinous crime such as this.

the reason he is up for parole in 23 years is because youth advocacy groups have been changing laws in each state and country to give juveniles a chance at parole no matter how horrific their crime is. The advocacy groups say sentencing a juvenile to life imprisonment without parole is cruel& unusual that is a load of crap because nobody is acknowledging the horrific violent crimes done to their victims. He was adult enough to murder he should face the consequences like an adult

They gave him 23 years for killing 4 human beings? I don't get it, honestly. Something strange is going on here (continuous ridiculous sentences for murderers) and it seems that nobody is willing to investigate. Outrageous.
