  • @Azeraelisa Cellistopher's right. The outer wrap is flat simply to create the most surface area for the hair to grab.

  • He slides the harmonics because they are "artifical" harmonics where he has to use the thumb as basic und so he must slide from step to step. It has nothing to do with the strings...

  • my guess would be it's 'cus the strings on an unright bass are flatwound; meaning he can produce those stratospherically high tones.

  • what the heck did renaud do...to make those high pitched notes....Ive seen harmonics...but it seemed he was sliding the harmonic?
