Meet all the Marvel characters on Marvel Super Hero Island at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure theme park. They all received costume and vehicle upgrades in May 2011. You'll meet Captain America, Storm, Rogue, Wolverine, Cyclops, Spider-Man, Dr. Doom and Green Goblin.

@plasmavore YES. Somebody who agrees. Disney should never incorporate Marvel into their theme parks, especially since Universal has already done such a great job with it

the new Green Goblin costume is AMAZING. Definitely better than the last one I saw when I went there. I prefer the old Spider-Man design, though, mainly because of nostalgia.

@GJdude8612 yeah both companies are great and it would ust be weird if disney built one...But personaly i think that Disney would do much better at the build... but universal is still outstanding

AttractionMagazine, when I went, they still had their old comic style costumes. When did they upgrade and do you know why?

@AttractionsMagazine especially those which feature licensed characters (i.e. The Simpsons Ride which from 20th Century Fox, and Men in Black being from Sony/Columbia Pictures)

@cbennet22 We would if we were allowed. Universal has more restrictions on their rides than some of the other parks.

@simhui89 It's for safety reasons and licensing issues. On a lot of their rides, they license the rights to the characters and story featured.
