You can hear each of the three stage-separation pops as the Comanche 3 model rocket ascends 1/2 mile.

  • I'd suggest building it as it comes with the two long streamers and see what you think. Again, with a chute, it's going to drift too far if there's any breeze whatsoever!

  • @1969captainron The first two stages are just fins, so they tumble to the ground with no problems (if you can find them!). The third (top) stage comes down pretty quick and often pulls a fin away from the cardboard tube when it hits (which you can just re-glue). Really, though, it goes so high (vanishes into the clouds sometimes!) that finding it again is the biggest concern. And if it had a parachute, it could drift for miles!
