This video shows my $60, 16ft camera crane. Low-tech, put together in an afternoon as a proof-of-concept. Check instructables.com for more details.

  • If your going to take the time to publish your home built crane on youtube- why don't you equally add some footage to show the viewer results of the crane perceptive . After all, that's what most people interested in building or owning a crane want to view -

    You dip!

  • good luck transporting it.

  • @eugenedendaas if he did it may have looked less steady than the handheld footage...

  • a clothes dryer?

  • yeah!!

  • i don't get to see how well it works????

  • This is a pretty good concept! Have you developed it any further?

  • ouf one man in the world had the same idee than me

  • Hey i like this man. Way cool. I know it's cheap, but this is a good start. Can't wait to see how this evolves. I like the way you set it up to be able to turn the camera manually!

  • There is a good concept there if you ring all the cables in the center and use a rod instead of the top cable it has potential in design (reminds me of Pinocchio the marionette a little bit but it could lend to other designs.)
