**Sorry about my voice. I'm currently suffering from a killer cold =P **

Here's an easy way to make FREE custom ring tones for your iPhone using iTunes.

STEP 1: Copy the Mp3 file that you want to make into a ring tone and paste it to your desktop. (the reason you do this is to avoid changing the original file.)

STEP 2: Drag the copied mp3 file into your iTunes in the 'music' section under 'Library'.

STEP 3: Listen to the song to determine what time frame you want your ring tone. ( I prefer to write it down on paper or use word or notepad to jot this info down. )

STEP 4: Right click the song title and go to 'Get Info'...Once there go over to the 'Options' tab and under that tab it says 'start' and 'end' time. Make sure both of those are checked, and be sure to enter the start time and finish time you wrote down that you wanted your ring tone.Press 'OK'

STEP 5:Go back to the song and right click it again. This time go to down to 'convert to AAC' or something along those lines. ( Selecting this should make a copy of the song with the seconds that your ring tone is for. )

STEP 6: Right click the copy that was just made that was seconds long and go to 'open in windows explorer'. ( you should see an mpeg4 file and it should say thesongtitle.m4a )
***IF IT DOESNT SAY .M4A AND IT ONLY SAYS THE NAME OF THE SONG, PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO TO SEE HOW TO FIX THAT***
Once it says .M4A I want you to right click the file and click 'rename'. Change the last letter of .m4a and change it to .m4R ( If you did it right it should have changed the mpeg4 file to a ring or ringtone file. )

STEP 7: Go back to iTunes and click the 'ringtones' section under 'Library'.

***IF YOU DONT SEE RINGTONES UNDER LIBRARY ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF iTUNES, PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO. IT WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO FIND IT***

STEP 8: Drag and drop the ringtone file into the 'ringtone' section in iTunes.

ONCE YOUVE DONE THAT, SYNC YOUR iPHONE THE SAME WAY YOU WOULD WHEN ADDING MUSIC, VIDEOS, ETC.

****The song I used was by an amazing artist named Matt Toka called Without you. You can check out him and his music at
