@draculascoffin Speaking of a band that was before their time, look into The Brains. Recorded on the soon to be bankrupted Mercury records and produced some great music, also in '79.

My favorite thing about Devo; they were so far out of the normal music range and I feel they owe none of it to drugs. Not that I have any feelings against drug-inspired bands (huge Pink Floyd fan,) but Devo has a sort of quirky, dorky punk flow that's so cool and genuine
