  • It makes me sad that people these days could mistake a saxophone for a trumpet

  • No one like musical ignorance, but at the same time no one like musical arrogance. Believe it or not, every type of music has its redeeming qualities. Listen to what you love, and accept other people's choices.

Well said! People are forever going on about the younger generation not appreciating genres like jazz and classical - 'good music' - yet at the same time they build an elitist wall around artists like Monk that it is no wonder that young people feel don't feel part of the club and stick to what they see on MTV. Learn to be inclusive people. Music is for anyone that wants to listen.

  • @andromedarr A largely clueless and undecerning populatin of 12 year olds is always going to buy the dumbed down, bubblegum with no soul. What can ya do...

  • @Miloshevits that reminds me of this one random time I was watching Jeopardy and for on question they had to figure out what instrument they heard on a recording. If I remember right they guessed sax, flute, and something else but anyway it was a trombone and they were totally oblivious. I was hoping those people would be able to figure it out especially seeing how intelligent they were with so many of the other questions.

  • it is les dawson

  • 2:45 I love how he takes the time in that space to fix his ring, lol

  • @cdcase29 do u rly believe that all these shit that people are listening these days on the radio got some "redeeming qualities" ?

  • Epistrophy is the bomb which Monk dropped on an unsuspecting jazz world shaking it's very foundations and bending space and time.
