Bob Carlos Clarke was a great photographer, one of Ireland's best.

Bob Carlos Clarke WAS britains.... til he decided to end his life in Barnes in front of a train on 25 March 2006 aged 55.

I met him a few times at his studio in Tite street and at his exhibition at the RPS in Bath.

He was a brilliant photographer and a fantastic printer, who influenced a whole generation of photographic students.

He was also an obsessive worker who worked for perfection.

He left behind an amazing portfolio of work, a wife Lindsey and a daughter Scarlett, and many friends.
