just over half of Modulate can be considered totally electro the remaining half is Mould's typical droney noisy pop rock ..this is a good song

@forakiller I was given this album many years ago, being a big Husker fan, so sorry I didn't play it until now, I'm totally hooked, and lost zoloft is a gem amongst gems.

The moment you stop exploring, the very moment you allow yourself to get stuck between certain boundaries set up by other people, you failed to be a musician. Bob Mould avoided that.

No way man, the best Bob's ever done was the 1st Sugar record, the 2nd is CLEARLY Black Sheets of Rain. That's just 1 man's opinion. God Bless
-
I guess 'cause it was slightly different... this album and "Last Dog and Pony Show" are his two most interesting and diverse albums and, thus to me, his best two records he's made solo or with any band.

still an album that divides the fans.....it has its ups and downs, but what the hell, better with it than without. if bob farted in the bath it would probably have a hook you could sing along to. the mans a genius.

I love this!

This song sounds like the early 90s.
-
Mould still ends up sounding brilliant - even in a bizarre genre that I think generally blows.

loved lost zoloft, this album is a grower

why was the album considered "controversial?"

The album marked Mould's shift toward electronic music, which stired arguments over it between hardcore husker/sugar/mould fans who didn't like it and those who thought that exploring new styles is good for a rock musician. I don't know if I made my point clear )))
