Antarctic Youth Ambassador Jay Piggott visits Scott's Terra Nova Hut at Cape Evans and Shackleton's Nimrod Hut at Cape Royds. Jay also visits the Adelie penguin colony at Cape Royds and walks to the end of the of the edge of Ross Island sea ice.
Seeing the huts for my self is the thing I'd like most to do sometime in my life; but I hesitate to become part of the problem i.e. sightseers contributing to the wear and tear upon the priceless historical landmarks.
What an amazing experience to take part it! I would love to go there. Thank you very much for posting this and letting us see around the icy place. :)
Is this where the 90 year old whisky came from?

Imagine using ponies on the ice here, and man-hauling. Or waiting for the ice to form so you could leave the island a head south.
