  • A C basiliscus over 20 yo and not bigger??

I have breed this speices of cotalids, and had 5-6 yo around 6 feet

And u say this snake is over 20? Its must be around 4-5 feet max!

I dont belive what u say, u are pressing to hard, there are studies made that clearly indicates that pressing the gland causes injuries to the snake, Australian venom producers lets the snake bite and deliver without pressure to the glands.

. Have ur vet made surgery to check the glands?? How can he know? This is facts

  • @skruvmutterdragare All animals that die here go to the vet for autospy. Also the animals on line have never developed venom gland infections. What studies do you speak of (Please site peer reviewed studies) The animal in the video is an average size Crotalus b. basiliscus. You don't believe me then ask Dr. Frye and other venom producers from Australian if they know us. Also we have videos of most of our animals reproducing what other proof do you an unnamed expert need. Those are the facts.

  • Well I have been handling snakes for 38 years , and pressing that hard on the Venom glands are not good in the long run, if many extractions are made, injure to the glands may occure.

    Nice job anyway.

  • @skruvmutterdragare Snake in the video has reproduced and has been on the venom line for 20 plus years extractions are done every 14 days. The method used has been used for over 35 years to produce venom for antivenom and research. We have a vet on staff and no venom glands have been damaged .

  • is there any issues with contaminations of the venom when you mix snakes?

  • No.Most of our researchers request pooled venom. Thats why we have vet checks on the animals and keep records on feeding /behavior.
