The next attempt at bringing pants into the womens fashion world was with the 1880s and 1890s bicycle outfit. Knee length knickerbockers were worn with a split wide skirt and stockings. Knickerbockers, or knickers, are full length breeches with a band just below the knee. The world of fashion tagged this outfit as un-ladylike and it did not become popular, either.

Then came World War I. Women had to go into the factories to work the jobs of the absent men. They pulled back their hair and pulled off their skirts. Loose pants and pants similar to riding pants became part of the work attire. Lounge pjs were often worn in the evening. Hollywood ( who owns hollywood?)put their stamp of approval on pants when Marlene Dietrich donned a pair in the movie Morocco. When World War II began, Rosie the Riveter was seen on posters all over the country wearing overalls.

It is hard to believe that as recently as a century ago it was a misdemeanor for a person to wear clothes not of their sex. California did not make it legal for women to wear pants to the work place until 1995!

Why is it okay for men to wear pants when they never did in the past ESPECIALLY at Jesus' time (for christians), Moses time (for jews) and Muhammed (PBUH) time (for Muslims). If men can wear them then women should too. Both should be baggy and not revealing.

secondly they did wear pants in those times. if you listened to the video the pastor quoted a verse where it forbids women from wearing pants so obviously pants were worn in those times.

during Jihad Muslims wore pants as well....

men cannot wear tight pants that are revealing that is Haram.

women cant wear pants in PUBLIC period. . you can wear it under an abaya

@24spice24 wow sorry for the late reply just noticed the comment...you should def ask a Imam about that but there is a hadith that ive read which prohibited women from wearing a certain type of show that had wood on the back end which used to make a loud noise when the women would walk. So if its making some sounds that should be fine but a loud noise that would be haram , but do ask a sheikh about that Issue.
