Last night Louisiana voters just scratched their heads and voted against the Bush Regime/McCain agenda. This is a district (LA-06)-- centered on Baton Rouge-- that gave Bush 59% of the vote in 2006. Cazayoux took 49,702 votes (49.20%) to extreme right-wing Republican Woody Jenkins' 46,741 votes (46.27%). This ups the Democratic margin in the House 235-198. You think the congressional Republicans are nervous?
boy you can not be more wrong. the economy didn't do fine before reagan. do some research. by he 70's the 70% tax individual bracket a 22% corporate tax and a 35% capital gains tax had done amazing job of hurting the economy. to the point of creating under jimmy carter the worse economy since the great depression. in 1980 we had both a 20% inflation rate and a 20% rate of interest. where do you think investment capital comes from. the wealthy investing their after tax income.
where is the evidence that corporate execs actually pay to hire more employees out of their own pockets? They either get investment loans for business or use corporate income! Raising taxes on their personal income won't do a damn thing, despite what the GOP attack machine has led you to believe. We had high taxes on the rich before Reagan, and the economy did just fine!
The DCCC got hold of the scripts of the ads Freedom's Watch is running in this Congressional race in Louisiana, looked at "properties" and discovered that it was written by the RNCC.
As you probably know, it's illegal for a 527 like Freedom's Watch to coordinate with a candidate or political party. Whoops!
Good on you, mates!

guess you don't want to pay the salaries of our military members or cops. Yes - they are paid with taxes.

yes, let's increase the taxes on the wealthy so they will be unable to hire fewer people. how does that help the poor?
