One of Chick's best songs from one of the best jazz albums of the prolific 1970s. I'm talking about Chick's The Mad Hatter with Eddie Gomez on bass Joe farrell on sax and flute and the killer Steve Gadd on drums. Theme from Alice and wonderland.
He pretends to be fast, af first you are like wow! But if you listen to it more precisely you will notice that he makes lots of mistakes in the theme and has got terrible intonation (especially while improvising)... definately one of his worst performances!
yeah I wouldn't say this to be one of his best performances, but you can't say he is bad, the other humpty dumpty video here from a show in 95' I think, features a much better solo, and he never misses a note on the theme.
Dios mio que musicalidad!!! corea es un maestro del piano, master of jazz contemporaneo, weckl genio y mi master por siempre y patitucci otro genio del jazz, el mejor trio sin duda
