Hi I'm Dr Kelly Bridenstine owner of Perfect Smiles Dental Care here in Lenexa, Kansas. You know a lot of patients asked us a lot of questions about what we do in our office. One of the most frequently asked questions is does your office keep up with current technology? Actually this is the question that you should ask your own dentist or any dentist. You wanna make sure that they're keeping up in current things, but the answer to your question for our office is yes, and absolutely we do keep up current technologies. Let me just give you an example with the last 6 or 7 years we've been using digital x-rays. They're 90% less radiation for the patients it is more efficient thus the patient isn't on the chair for a long time. It's really great and it's quicker. We have 26 inch flat screen TVs in every treatment room so patients can be shown their x-rays, their digital photos so they can go through with the treatment plan with the doctor. They actually see what the doctor sees in the mouth so they can make or form decisions about how they wanna go with their treatment plan.
We also have electric hand pieces, or some call them the dental drills, but a lot more quiet than the traditional air drilling drills, they have more torch. Patients like it; it's not so noisy. We also have computers in every treatment rooms which is great. It allows us to take digital x-ray and chart findings and patient's treatment plans. And we are able to do financial arrangements. All chair side in the treatment room so we don't have to play musical chairs and patients hop around in different rooms or different departments. it's all right there in the treatment room very nice and convenient .
Other tech. that we use is we have entertainment technologies. We have again flat screen TVs where we continually playing grown up movies, children movies, documentaries, sitcoms for your entertainment. We also have choice of 200 CDs where you can listen on a walkman headphones that can drown out the dental sounds, to help you relax take your mind off from what's going on and eliminate all the dental sounds, we also have an iPad the patients can check their email, play games, read the newspaper, read a book. It just compresses time and makes people relax the anxiety level goes down while your getting numb, if you're doing something and being entertained.
We are also one of the only 300 dental office worldwide chosen by Dr. Gordon Christianson of clinical research laboratories. We get to use some of the latest technologies, latest dental materials in our office and evaluate them. Also going back to computers our patients are able to fill out all the patient health history form and everything online before they come to our office. It saves a lot of time so you don't have to wait and wait in the room. You walk in and you're ready to go. You can also check your accounts and bills online. Patients can request and appointment online. We also send out text messages, and reminders of their appointments, and upcoming cleaning, and check up appointments. As you can see we use a lot of technology in our office to help patients be more efficient get back to work, get back to home, and it just make life a lot easier with the technologies that we have and most of all for patients comfort and efficiency.
