Dead Sperm Whale Buried at Dixon Park Beach Newcastle, NSW.

This Sperm Whale washed up on Dixon Park Beach in Newcastle on Monday 7th August 2006. Some Surfers say it had been floating offshore since Friday and that they had seen many Sharks having a good feed. The rough seas brought it to shore Monday afternoon. Its clear the Whale had a tangle with a large propeller, whether that was the cause of death is unknown. This video was taken on 8th August when the council decided to bury it under the dunes. Living nearby could bring a fragrant summer!!...Phew!!
