Popular blogger and author of Because I Said So (and other tales from a less-than-perfect parent), Dawn Meehan, tries to understand kids by putting herself in their shoes. She melts down in an elevator, throws a tantrum in the middle of the grocery store, and goes around revolving doors multiple times while bystanders look at her like she's insane. Hilarious!

  • Dawn,

I hope I win a book - so I can take it around and tell others about you and your books!

I'll send an ad for your blog later this summer. I finally got an idea for what to do with the opportunity.

Love and prayers from this bundle of 6 + mom to you and your 6pack + GPS!

    -Katherine (jclanmom)

  • i LOVE your fit at the store! your friends were great to help you out with that. so convincing!

let me know what you think of Alabama. are you coming through Huntsville?

  • I love your blog and video's

  • Wow, all of this sure does look familiar!!! Best of luck in FL!! That's my hometown. Hope you love it and make many wonderful memories and new beginnings there!

  • I love your video! I was at the grocery store last week with my 7 year old grand-daughter (whom I always get silly with anyway) and began acting up, because I saw Dawn do it. When I threatened to yell and hollor because I wanted something....I got an eye roll and a "munnern, just stop it" (Not sure where my first grand-daughter came up with my name munnern, but it's an original). Love you!

  • My 2 youngest watched it with me each saying "we do NOT act like that" as their sister is telling them "oh, yes, you do!" Good luck with the move, Dawn. Better luck finding new great friends who will help you make a video like this in Orlando!!

  • I have read your blog since the Pokemon incident. I really hope moving the kids will help them settle in to their new life with a single parent. Not sure how you're going to manage without Eric, but maybe there will be someone else to fill his shoes. Best of luck. Margaret Dunlap mdunlap@hotmail.com

  • your video is priceless, the kids are great in it...I hope your trip is going well and that you get to your new home soon!

  • I don't lipread and there's no closed captioning...BUT.....pictures speaks thousand words....good to know I'm not the only one throwing a fit on the floor just to embarrass my kids!

  • you are hilarious!!!
