This is Poor Unfortunate Souls as it appeared in the demo recording of The Little Mermaid. This song was later renamed Ursula's Incantation.

Enjoy :)

  • I love this script better than the Broadway one. I'm not sure why.

  • @ITSnicoNASTY But it works for this character.

  • She's very good, really. But in my opinion she breathes to loud and to often. I hate that. :D

  • My god, this was a fantastic rendition. I love this far better than any rendition I've ever heard.

  • I like Heidi Blickenstaff's version best

  • Emily skinner at least gives a reasonable Ursula here. Although she doesn't go with the more diva intelligent role that Pat Carrol put in the part that may be for the best. Scott put that in her role and look at where that got her, sheesh! Skinner takes the song into insanity mode here and it surprisingly works to a better extent.

  • She really is fantastic

  • Emily Skinner is amazing! The only Ursula that counts after Pat Carroll. She makes Sherri Renee Scott sound puny.

  • she is much better than sherri renee scott. I like scott, but damn, she is terrible in the broadway show. i think she fit 6 accents, 7 different interpretations in one song.

  • i think my biggest problem is they went with a more comedic and younger ursula, and its almost like they tried to give her sex appeal, there were too many jokes and none of the actresses were dramatic enough, i mean in the movie ursula is so over the top in her actions, and she seemed to put the right amount of stress on each word
