i will give a comparison: Battlefield 3, a game for the realistic and tactical player; Call of duty Modern warfare 3: a game for the fast paced action shooter. The two games are for two different type of gamers and really shouldn't be compared to eachother as they are for different players, however personally i would choose call of duty... as it's the only one of the two that run on my acer laptop :/

Battlefield 3 have a better and newer engine with technology that the COD engine does not have and probably never will. Engine optimization example on this is that bf3 maps are allot bigger then mw3 and they can even support more players and deital.
