This has got to be some of the finest Blues playing I have ever seen live!
Movie clip was shot on the main stage at the International Boogie Woogie Festival in Ermelo, Holland - March 2007.
Talk about a master of the blues 'clash note', lol! One thing I did observe was that, at times, his left hand was a bouncing down a full 3-4 inches off the keys to get that tub-thumping power blues effect.
Wonderful stuff!!
I've been playing & listening to boogie for 40 decades - this is the thumpingest left hand ever. Great, inspiring stuff!

Do you think your response is a little over the top? If you call what i said, "shit-talking" you ain't heard much downtown shit-talking.
Since you're the one telling "...Any real musician and music lover..." what they should think and say, why don't YOU make a video and show us where you get the right to say that.
YouTube's not a fan club. I said the playing was okay, I said "no disrespect to the man," and I recommended something I thought was better. What's the big deal?
Peace...

pyannguy you're an idiot! No one is impressed with your shit talking. Why not put a video up of your playing as a response so we can critique it. If you can't do that then shut the fuck up. Any real musician and music lover would enjoy this performance and appreciate his ability.

Please...no disrespect to this guy, but do yourself a favor and go to Vince Weber, "Vince the Prince 1981" to hear a burnin' boogie piano player right here on YouTube.
Heck, for that matter - check out any of the up-tempo Dr. John stuff.
Honestly, this is okay, but pretty pedestrian. Check out Amos Milburn on "Down the Road Apiece."

I first saw him playing in the early 80's with the big town playboys : man what an inspiration : man what a left left hand : boy what a performer : oh happy pay day : makes life worth living !
