A rather overly complicated machine with a single purpose. To create lengths of wire with the insulation removed from either end. (for use in electronics breadboards)

  • At a curiosity, and for clarification sake, Is the part that is actualy cutting the insulation to make it strippable, is that the part that is almost always rotating? Also, I see that it uses 2 servos, one for actual rotation, but is the other for tightening the exacto knife against the wire?

  • Hey Inuyasha.

Yes the part that is almost always rotating is rotating an exacto knife twice around the wire (this action is kind of hidden by the larger servo. The second (smaller blue) servo has the exacto blade mounted on it and open and closes on the insulation.

In terms of speeding it up I already have parts in the mail to replace the rather slow wire stripping servo with something quicker.

  • Good prototype! I've been using a commercial cutter/stripper all day at work. Cutting to length, stripping, tinning, and soldering into pins over 250 14ga wires in 9 hours wouldn't have been possible by hand. I notice that your biggest "nay sayer" has a total of 0 videos of his own posted. Hmmm... If it sounds like a troll, looks like a troll, ....

  • You know your shit at the job when this machine replaces you.

  • Regardless of what it does, its beautiful! :)

  • @adisharr u guys are fucking pussies just grab a pair of kleins and hold the wire in one hand and with the other use your kleins and strip the wire.... no wonder do girls take you seriously your hands are softer than theirs. kleins have been used in electrical business for 150 years and they still work great, and the way i strip wire, is in a bon fire.. fuckin amaeturs...

  • @Inuyasha10121 You just need a good pair of wire strippers. Many have a gauge selection to limit the knife penetration.

  • @croakerchoker504 This shows your lack of understanding about automatic wire stripping in general. This isn't an industrial production machine - it's made out of left over crap and junk. The ends are frequently left on to avoid handling damage.

  • I could have stripped 100 ends of wire in the time it took..... and you still have to pull the end off, that thing is garbage

  • it is so much faster to use a wire stripper...although doing i several times kills ur hands. so this i pretty good for when you need a lot of wire stripped. sweet :)

  • Wow i like the way you say idiot.
