NYC Protests Free Gaza Flotilla Massacre

May 31st - June 1st, 2010. Thousands of people of every ethnicity and religion protest in response to Israel's violent attack on a humanitarian aid flotilla that was bringing crucial supplies to the Israeli blockaded Gaza Strip.

In an international act of piracy and murder in international waters, the Israeli navy intercepted, boarded, and opened fire on humanitarian activists on a flotilla of ships attempting to deliver humanitarian supplies to the Israeli-blockaded Palestinian Gaza Strip.

According to news reports, Israeli commandos killed as many as 19 humanitarian activists on board one ship, and have abducted all 700 passengers on board the six boats composing the flotilla who are in the process of being sent against their will to Israel for arrest and/or deportation.

@legion860 Israel is occupying and colonizing Palestine, which is the root of the conflict. Palestine is not occupying and colonizing Israel. When Israelis die in suicide attacks it is indeed tragic and warrants outrage. The fingers should be pointed at the culprit of the violence, the Israeli government and its antagonistic policies of ethnic cleansing, occupation and land grabbing.

@DmitriyXYZ Whether you want to call it a wall or a fence is completely irrelevant (although, the International Court of Justice did refer to it as a wall when it determined its illegality in 2004). Let's just call it a separation barrier. Regardless of what term you want to use, the separation barrier is illegal because it annexes large swaths of Palestinian land. In fact, 80% of the wall/fence/separation barrier is INSIDE the West Bank. If it was created for security reasons why annex land?
