  • I really don't understand why do people have to argue about their favourite flutists? Every one of them has their way and they're all different. Can't you just enjoy the music???????????

  • This is amazing! But I have to say that I'm not crazy about his tone....He's obviously an amazing flutist....but I don't love his sound.

  • My opinion is actually that he is playing it a bit too fast.. he IS amazing, YEAH!! but.. sometimes, I (that's me!!!!) think it does sound a bit stressing - ofc, he nails it, but, a spirit is missing. sometimes. I think.

  • Hmm...just picked this one for my NYSSMA All-State audition...after listening to this, I can see the next four months will be very stressful haha.

  • YAY!!! One of my favorite french pieces eveerrr and its GALWAY!!! yes!!!!

  • I have to play this for my university audition. It's not particularly difficult note wise, but keeping good tone all the way throught the runs is proving challenging. James Gallaway is such an amazing flutist and his technique is outstanding!

  • Absolutely stunning.

  • Oh dear, I am in Love with this music.

  • the 7 that pushed dislike were jealous of total the awesomeness that this guy had. That, or they got drunk on Haterade and didn't know what they were doing.

  • @musicalmichael99 Hahah! Kidding, right? He's a genius, and his tone is full, warm and very flexible. It's Galway, and I loooooveee his tone! :)

  • @johnhelmke Well.... I played at 15 months better. ;) But keep on practicing, it'll help. The thing about sir James Galway is true, he's my idol too, but personally, I think, that with an better attitude you'll learn more(and faster). :) Best wishes! (and don't play Chaminade, you should learn the basics first, the Concertino will then sound better)

  • I wish I could play like that - it would help if I practised every day for a few hours...
