Brief Bible Blunders -- Episode #1

The first in a series of quick looks at some biblical oddities.

Credit to the great Bart Ehrman , whose excellent book "Jesus, Interrupted" brought this Bible blunder to my attention for the first time. The book also inspired me finally to put together this series that I've been thinking about for some time.

LOL! Of the many different, contradictory Christian responses, I think this one (and you're not the first to offer it) is my favorite because it is so blatantly violative of the text. BTW, why is it that the purportedly omnipotent and omnibenevolent god who inspired these texts can't get his devotees on the same page with respect to what they mean?

that can only say they have no idea what they are worshipping, they will make up anything to justify all this, and that a religion can be easily changed about by humans

@jimphillips95 Well if he didn't want them to ask(as if he don't want them to know, don't want them to worry, want them wonder) why does tell them a few sentences latter John 16:10?

I guess I'm not wise enough to spin bible verses contextually to mean something other than what they literally say.

I saw 2 Christians of different orders screaming at each other with bibles held high condemning the other in the name of Jesus. Huh?? I'm on the side of Jesus!! No I am!! No I am!

Ask 10 Christians and you'll get 20 different answers. Why would one worship something that is unclear even among themselves. If Christians can't agree on Bible translations and meanings then how can you expect to be taken seriously? 30,000 + sects of Christianity?

"But none of you ask me,, where are you going" Could this mean as in where are you, (Them), going? You,, as in each of YOU? It all depends in how you say the sentence. Of all your videos, this is the only question I have.
