  • What kind of lights did you use???

  • @CAMer0nxx mostly used Arri Tungsten Fresnels with daylight gels and reflected sunlight.

  • @jtoddcollins

I have been looking into Arri lights, quite expensive on my budget. How many do you use on a normal basis/video? I don't want to buy more than I really need.

  • @CAMer0nxx Well...different jobs call for varying amounts of light. I have a kit (with 4 lights - 2 300w + 2 650w lights) and that gets by for some things. Renting is always an option depending on the project. I tend to rent more than own.

  • One more question: do you use the micro mount riser? With carbon fiber rods?

  • @DrewMaw I used the DSLR Riser for the camera, a micro mount to mount the monitor and, yes, carbon fiber rods instead of the metal rods.

I used the Redrock DSLR Cinema bundle and pulled focus using the Redrock Follow Focus. I put gaff tape on the floor and marked the FF Ring with a grease pencil. That way when I pulled the dolly back, I was able to easily hit my focus marks when I crossed the various tape markings.

  • What system did you use for FF? Wireless?
