    Hi, many buildings here in the United States, including high-rise hotels, office buildings, and sometimes hospitals and college buildings, have elevators that skip floors. These floors are likely closed off for privacy or security reasons. For instance, I was in a hospital elevator that skipped the 3rd floor, probably because that was where the surgery rooms were. Thanks for asking.
