Severn Cullis-Suzuki Keynote Address

Daughter of famed Canadian scientist, David Suzuki, Severn Cullis-Suzuki developed a deep connection to nature at an early age. In this lecture, she discusses her personal evolution as an environmentalist as well as reminding us that we have become so 'disconnected' from the natural world -- that unequivocally sustains us -- that our arrogance and ignorance has put us on the brink of planetary disaster. She provokes us to consider our individual consumptive impact on the planet and to explore ways to reduce our personal ecological footprint.

lack of compassion is an epidemic worldwide and it will be the extinction of humanity if we all dont start living our lives with compassion and sympathy/empathy we will just get more chaotic and oppression will thrive.love a little more,care a little more,thats all.

what makes me sad is that almost 24 years later, the plans to hidroeletrics in the amazon forest are back and now, we are talking about the government actually having authorized their building (for those who have some interested in the subject, surch for Usina Belo Monte on the internet). its such a same that as much we fight against destroying the world, in the other hand, the liders of the world dennys whats is under their noses: we all need to take action now, and yet now is alread to late.
