  • Hi part of my loft (attic) has floor boards layed down! what is the best way for me to insulate if I want to board all my loft out as if I cover the joists I can't lay boards, does laying boards over insulation matter?

  • If you plan to put down decking, install insulation between the joists but not on top of the joists. The boards will compress any insulation on top of the joists making it ineffective.

  • Hey ... no problem, I appreciate the clarification.

  • Very minimal information. Not very useful.

  • More of an overview than real instructions, I think

  • clear and helpful...thanks!

  • Make sure electrical cables ie shower wiring is NOT covered by insulation, this is a fire hazard.

  • Good video. I've seen so many homes with just a few inches of insulation. Big impact improvement along with a radiant barrier.

  • I'm a super novice...What about if you want to put a floor down? Should you put the insulation in the poly sleve down?

  • Actually the tar that holds the insulation to the paper is the vapor retarder
