@Necrolium You obviously haven't been looking hard AT ALL. Hip hop was golden and still is - just because mainstream music giants keep it underground for our privileged ears nowadays doesn't mean it's dead. Maybe if more people with similar opinions to yours supported those artists instead of complaining and telling people hiphop is dead, then there wouldn't be this problem at all.

I love old school hip-hop but people are acting too fucking lethargic. I cant stand complaining
-
@musiclover01ization I mean they aight more than likely these new cats grip an audience then start talking about hoes and money ...i agree there is some good hip hop ..Common, Kweli, Aesop Rock, Vast Aire, Elzhi from slum village, Illa J, i mean those are some cats i dig man you know ...niggas complain but more than likel they just need to look harder..by the way i say that shit about BET cause i hate that channel all they do is promote wackness
-
@SkyKnight26 Tbh, I don't really listen to childish gambino. Kendrick lamar, on the other hand, is pretty good.Just because he was on BET doesn't mean he's commercial. The only reason why I'm stating these"new cats", is because i'm tired of people complaining that there's no good hip hop anymore.

@musiclover01ization LMAO kendrick lamar ? wasnt he just on the BET cyper ? nah hes not commercial neither is childish gambino the guy from Community ..tighten that list up we came to hear the tribe not to hear you name these new cats. you whinin more than anyone

@Necrolium blame hegemonic entertainment companies, the artists are still there, but they're repressed by the music superpowers who own the venues, record labels, radio stations, and tv music channels. You wanna complain, try supporting your local artists so they can develop to this level.

@Necrolium You sir are ignorant

Hip hop caught on with me after I got out of high school. The 80's and 90's (before all the balling anf bling bling nonsense) were the two best periods. I love the Tribe's music; so laid back and chill.

GOD DAMN! Why did I have to be born so late in the age of Golden Hip-Hop...
Born in '95 & I got a FULL iPod of old school R&B and Golden Age Hip-Hop...
Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Otis Reddings..
Rakim, ATCQ, Eric B, Biggie, Big Pun, Big L, Pharcyde, Tech N9ne ( His Older Work ), Del Tha Funky Homosapien, Pharoahe Monch, And more!
I can't get enough of the classics.. And yeah i'm young, 15 years young to say.
One Love, Much Respect.
