@debuskey i thought that the computer by the way it works wouldnt be able to cope you have some happy memories so selling it may have been a good idea snow looks good fun they dont seem to do very well when one weel comes off the floor eg clipping a fence etc when you flat out do you want more speed or do you want to ease off do they feel stable?

@djsreview No, the one my brother had, died (to much abuse?), then I sold the one I had, as it is boring riding alone. re: ICE...nope!! Ice and mud are instant wipe-outs. They do ok in snow (have some vids from last winter on here)

im just talking to my gf she wonders how they perform on ice any ideas?

@djsreview possibly, i won mine and it was a fun toy. some use it for life travel, etc. me and my brother had a lot of fun with them.

@debuskey what do you think to them? you possibly got a bias towards them because you own one but do you think they really could be something that could catch on if the price was lower maybe a re design or something
what do you think it is that holds them back?

@djsreview some hills, but steep ones can be difficult....as it is all balance and counterbalance

I have a lot of great memories playing on it (as you can tell from most of the vids, we are laughing, smiling, etc) Plus partying a bit while playing on them was a blast!! And, we met a lot of interesting characters in the city, especially at night...homeless, prostitutes, visitors, cops, college kids, etc etc...we normally would let anyone try it as I think everyone should. (Plus I won mine by paying $100 for raffle tickets..not a bad deal)

The way it works, both wheels work together for balance and mobility, if one one is stopped or slips, the segway will try to drop or spin out of control...had that happen a lot...but you can (at times) fight it...which we had. But as said, ice and mud...you loose...the segway will drop as it has no traction so it just stops and drops....one of my videos shows that, I hit a small patch of ice near a sidewalk, and it drops me before I knew what happened.
