In this video, Betty shares her Elegant Benedictine Finger Sandwiches recipe. These are a great finger food for a reception or party--they look elegant, and they are very tasty!

Ingredients:

1 loaf fresh white bread
1 carton Benedictine spread (or dip)

Use a biscuit cutter to cut two circles from each slice of bread for as many sandwiches as you want. (You may use a knife and cut into diamonds, squares, etc.) Spread one side of a bread circle generously with the Benedictine spread. Place another bread circle on top of the first, making a round sandwich. Continue in this fashion until all bread circles have been used. (You should freeze the bread scraps for later use--croutons, meatloaf, etc.) Arrange all of your finished Benedictine sandwiches on a serving plate in an attractive manner. Serve to guests as finger food. You may need to make more than you expect, as these are very popular!

  • could you do a rice crispy recipe? plz and thank you.

  • @smilesomuch16 I will try to do that. I have a Cap'n Crunch Treats recipe in bettyskitchen that you might like.

  • I love your videos Betty, you strike me as one of those people that have a certain warmth about them and you just want to hug them :) You look so sweet. May I request some easy (perhaps no-bake) recipes? A casserole recipe wouldnt hurt either. Thanks in advance.

  • Hi!

Thanks for your lovely comment! You might try some of my soups--They are cooked on the top of the stove. Just search for soup in bettyskitchen!

  • I was wondering if you have a recipe for the Benedictine filling. Unfortunately, the spread you used in the recipe is unavailable where I live.

  • Yes, I do have that dip. Just search using the word benedictine in bettyskitchen!

  • Gracias Betty me gusto la receta. I really like your recipe it looked really good.

    Greeting from El Salvador!

  • Betty, that's a great recipe idea. I'll have to check the Benedictine spread recipe since there's no product like that here. Hey, you could make Eggs-in-the-Basket (like at Cracker Barrel) with the discarded bread slices! (And it's Wonder Bread for me! : >)

  • Thank you so much! Your comment is encouraging to me. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

  • I agree. This recipe needed white bread, so I used a variety called "hearty white bread," which is healthier than the soft kind. I was responding to a request for a finger sandwich for a wedding reception, and I didn't think "healthy" would be a top priority for their needs. Thanks for noticing! --Betty :)
