I know the kid lived, but I hope the kid that wrecked the camaro dies soon...painfully. 1/4 of the way down the track he starts pumping the brakes. When muscle cars are at full accleration power and you pump the brakes, the body of the car tends to swerve to one side to compensate for uneven weight on one side of the car.
