You have one of those voices that's really easy to listen to. I'm hoping that's not a weird thing to say.

I used to work at Mexican restaurant, I was hired as a busser/ dishwasher the free food was good, But I absolutely hated the job because I was new I got picked on by everybody. My first day I got picked on by a bunch of drunk college students at the bar side of the restaurant. My boss in his mother would talk in Spanish then point at me and laugh. It was terrible working there and the only thing that kept me from quitting was the really hot girl I got to work with.

Years ago I worked in hospitality in various roles from waiter to manager, you have to deal with the same shit whether you work in an independent restaurant or a massive corporate 5 star hotel. It is the worst industry in the world to work in. The customer is NOT always right, but 9 times out of 10 they ARE a total dick (along with most of the clueless superiors above you in the organisation). Thank fuck I left when I did. I'm always nice to my server / waiter as I know the crap they deal with.

@paytotheorderofofof2 I never said we were royalty. I don't 'keep the sever waiting' and I hate when they stand over me after I tell them I need a time to decide. I don't pull a 'diva act' in a resturant, but I want time to order something I want to eat without someone standing over me. That's all I ask.
Also, the waitresses/waiters who spit/fart/or worse in other people's foods don't deserve jobs. That's awful.
""Before you're rude or snappy with your waitress or waiter, remember their handling your food."
It also works the other way around. Remember who tips you. We don't like it when you get snappy with us for taking too long. WE'RE the customer and if I want to take fifteen minutes to decide what I want then I'm going to take fifteen minutes. I'm the one who has to eat it.

@anonymoushatelove You're a customer, not royalty. We're you're waiters/waitresses, not your servants. Taking 15 minutes to order is ok, as long as you're not keeping your server there waiting on you. Say "I need a few more minutes" and let your server go. Because the longer you keep the server waiting to put up with your diva act, the longer OTHER people in the restaurant wait too. You're not your server's only customer. You've got one plate to attend to, they've got 15 tables to attend to.

@anonymoushatelove Oh, also..The customer's punishment for a shitty attitude is a lot worse than missing out on a top. I'd sooo much rather miss out on my 4 dollar tip than have someone spit, fart, or worse in the food I paid $30 for.

I quit Starbucks. Starbucks sucks, lol. If you want to work at a coffee place, work at a privately owned business.
