Really interesting to hear some more of the Carter Brothers, I grew up only knowing what was on the "Echoes of the Ozarks" compilation. I was always intrigued by the air of mystery around the band members' identities, seemingly lost to the mists of time (now at least I know some names :-). What I'm guessing is the Irish origins of this tune, lies pretty close to the surface here. Excellent post (Also nice to see the original 78 label!)

Thanks Brian, I will be cutting a rug to this one for a while! Some of the most stirring fiddling I've had the pleasure to hear!
