  • These are pretty neat shots, I'm a little confused, why would you need a night shot mode? Where these taken at night or during the day?

  • Thanks for viewing. To be honest, Infrared has always been a little confusing to me. Shot these late in the day with a Digital Sony V-1 with a HOYA R72 Filter. This Filter is very Opaque. It looks like a solid black glass. So it needs alot of light to see through. To get this Cold InfraRed Look, I used the Night Shot Mode for 2-reasons. 1-It Removes the Color. 2-It Lets more light in. I'm a novist, but that's what I understand. Hope this helps. I-B-Reel!
  • very nice photos. i have just bought a canon EOS 400D. would i get good results using a hoya infrared filter and long exposure with high apature?

  • 400D is an awesome camera,

    but I don't think it has a "Night-Shot" Mode?

I used a "HOYA Infrared R72" filter on my Sony-V1, but it had to be on "Night-Shot" Mode

    to get this look.

    Google... (EOS 400D infrared)

    I saw some options...

    Thanks for viewing.

  • i live in san antonio...i can say this with absolute authority,,,this is indeed what san antonio looks like with or without a filter...they ONLY add color during fiesta...other than that, its too hot for the color spectrum to work properly.

  • Thanks Man, i was just wondering because i was looking at a infrared filter for my K200D becuase the look you get from the filter is quite unique!!

  • I liked it!. Very nicely done....not boring...thank God!..

    Keep up the great work!...

  • thanks for that . its has night portrait mode and i will check out the google. cheers
